Description: Two variants of this hoax exist. One masquerades as a warning about an alleged dangerous new virus. The second claims to be a photograph taken just moments before planes struck the World Trade Center on 9/11. Example of the virus hoax: Sent: Thursday, October 18, 2001 2:36 AM

Subject: Virus Alert

BIGGGG TROUBLE !!!! DO NOT OPEN "WTC Survivor" It is a virus that will erase your whole "C" drive. It will come to you in the form of an E-Mail from a familiar person. I repeat a friend sent it to me, but called and warned me before I opened it. He was not so lucky and now he can't even start his computer!

Forward this to everyone in your address book. I would rather receive this 25 times than not at all. If you receive an email called "WTC Survivor" do not open it. Delete it right away! This virus removes all dynamic link libraries (.dll files) from your computer.

Example of the photo hoax:

Fw: Different Perspective on the New York Tragedy

Attached is a picture that was taken of a tourist atop the World Trade Center Tower, the first to be struck by a terrorist attack. This camera was found but the subject in the picture had not yet been located.

Makes you see things from a very different position. Please share this and find any way you can to help Americans not to be victims in the future of such cowardly attacks.

For a copy of the photograph and a thorough debunking of this sick hoax, read The Tourist Guy. Remember:
Hoaxes are a waste of both time and money. Please don't forward them on to others. And if you are tempted to forward something just in case, read the article Toxic Excuses first.
